Note: The second Tom Swift series Here only, the credited author is Victor Appleton II. Harriet Stratemeyer Adams created Tom Swift Jr., series and character, and the series was completed by the Stratemeyer Syndicate during her heyday. She succeeded her father Edward Stratemeyer about twenty years into the first series. Tom Swift Jr. is the son of the original, who is now CEO of Swift Enterprises. The four later series also feature Junior, less or more explicitly and with little continuity. He does not grow up and marry as his father did. According to Wikipedia: Junior is 18 years old throughout this series. "Tom Sr., unlike his own father, is still relatively young and vital at the time of Tom Jr.'s adventures and frequently assists his son from behind the scenes while operating the huge family business, Swift Enterprises."
