Synopsis: Socrates Blackwing, wizard, warrior, and sometime bounty hunter, has fallen into disfavor with his grandfather, the "General", and is stationed, against his will, in Tacoma, Washington in the year 2070. There he meets Suzanne Hawks, a shopkeeper, who is being pressured to sell her small building to major developers, through strong-arm tactics and with the help of some of the corrupt police. His mission is to report back his assessment of the people living on this, a heretofore unknown Plane of Reality, and locate those ne'er-do-wells from his own Known Seven Planes that may have crossed over and are wreaking havoc, to send them back. Is his magic stronger than the technology of 2070 and what will he do when confronted with one of his own kind?
