Note:
This is a novelization of the film which was based on his original short story.
(Source unknown. This may be a screen adaptation by Wells. It may be an expansion of the short story as a film treatment.)
The original short story was published summer 1898 in the weekly Illustrated London News as "The Man Who Could Work Miracles: A Pantoum in Prose" (see).
According to the Wikipedia film article (above), The Man Who Could Work Miracles (with the original 'The') is "a black-and-white 1937 British fantasy-comedy film". It cites an exceptionally negative review by Graham Greene as published 1936-09-04 in The Spectator and a review by Frank S. Nugent published in New York 1937-02-22.
