Note: The "Utopia Großband" series doubled the then usual digest novels from 48 to 96 pages. When the series started off in late March 1954, the books were published on a 4-weekly basis but with #9 (November 1954) Pabel switched to 2-weekly and from #18 (March 1955) back to 4-weekly.
In the mid 1950s the German mass entertainment was overflowing with Science Fiction mysteries - and Pabel stepped in to fill a perceived gap: First, by making every second Utopia Großband a SF mystery, so from October 1955 the series went back to fortnightly. When, in late January 1956, "Utopia Kriminal" was spun off as a dedicated SF mystery series, UG went back to 4-weekly. Until late August 1957: "Utopia Kriminal" was re-integrated into the Großband series. From then until its end in May 1963 the series appeared bi-weekly.
Series counts up to 204 items.
