  • Publisher: Lenox Hill Press Publisher Record # 26444
  • Note: Arcadia House was renamed Lenox Hill Press when it was purchased by Crown Books circa 1969. They specialized in publishing genre fiction (westerns, gothic romances, nurse novels and science fiction) in hardcover editions intended for libraries. Their books were never available for purchase in book stores. In addition to original titles, Lenox Hill Press printed hardcover editions of British paperbacks (Badger, Digit, Consul), including some pseudonymous novels by R. L. Fanthorpe. Locus #88 (June 30, 1971) reported that they only paid $300 for original novels, which is a good indication of the quality of the work they published. Most titles were published between 1970 and 1975, with no science fiction titles after 1972.
