    • 1st US ed., apparently, of stated 1st English translation (The work was published January 1889 at Oxford, England, with same page count (see). Nothing found in 1889 newspapers suggests that White and Allen sold this limited ed. in the UK; nor mentions another US ed.)
    • Announced September for Fall publication, American Bookseller 1889-09-16 p439, as "a translation into English, for the first time, of Hauff's celebrated [Phantasien, by ES and CRLF] printed on specially prepared hand-made paper, from type distributed immediately after printing--only 500 copies--small 8vo, 1 vol., half vellum, totally uncut."
