  • Notes:
    • The title is stated with the "A cautionary horror story" sub-title on the front cover and title page though not on the spine.
    • "The Small Loaf of an Artist in Society" is a poem by Phyllis Janowitz on preliminary page 6 (immediately before page 1). Phyllis is Tama Janowitz's mother. She was not credited on the copyright page. The poem itself is not speculative fiction and so was not included in the ISFDB contents.
    • "Lonely Bob" by Willow Hunt is a short graphic-novel story on pages 283 to 297. It is a series of diorama style photos of a doll posed inside a dollhouse along with one sentence captions. It is not included in the index/contents for this publication record as it's a graphic novel and the author does not meet the specfict threshold that would allow for indexing miscellaneous works such as this. The story is credited on the publication's title page as "Including special supplementary material 'Lonely Bob' by Willow Hunt." The front cover also mentions this though does not credit Willow. Willow is not credited on the copyright page nor on the Permissions page (p 282). This August 9, 1999 article says that at the time Willow was Tama Janowitz's three year old daughter meaning at the time "They Is Us" / "Lonely Bob" were published Willow was approximately age 12.
    • The publication date is stated as just "2009" on the copyright page. "Limited edition hardback first published by The Friday Project in 2008" over "This paperback edition published by The Friday Project in 2009". The source for the 2009-09-01 date used with this ISFDB publication record is Amazon.com.
    • The publisher name is from the copyright page. "The Friday Project" over "An imprint of HarperCollins Publishers"
    • Priced uk £7.99 on the back cover. The public library copy verified has a sticker that covered up the $13.95 price but it's assumed to be there. Prior to this verification pass this publication record included the comment "Data from Amazon.com as of 2011-04-03. Distributed in the US by HarperCollins for $13.95." The source of the "Distributed in the US" part is unknown.
    • The story ends on page 280. Pages 282 and 283 are numbered and have author acknowledgments and permissions for the illustration photographs. Pages 283 to 297 are not numbered and have "Lonely Bob" by Willow Hunt. Page 298 is blank.
    • The cover artist is not credited. The back cover has "Cover design: Liam Relph".
    • Primary verification is against a public library copy. I should be able to retrieve this publication if needed for a verification question. ~Marc Kupper.
