The magazine also presented book and film reviews. When it [temporarily] changed to the ''Novels'' title it published a number of these of interest. The second series [1949-1951] was a companion to Famous Fantastic Mysteries and Fantastic Novels. While these were essentially reprint magazines, Super Science was designed for original material. Although its first few issues were only fair, it developed into a magazine of quite good quality and its demise was regrettable. It had some departments, including J. Taurasi's "Fandom Corner.""
