Note: Publisher: Palmer Publications, Inc.
Editor: Raymond A. Palmer (as Ray Palmer) and Bea Mahaffey [#1-4], Raymond A. Palmer (as Ray Palmer) [#5-16]. During those first four issues, Mahaffey did no editorial writing. All editorials were written by Palmer, often referring to himself as "your editor" (as if there were only one). Responses to letters to the editor were unsigned in issues 1-2, but signed by Palmer (as "Rap", using his initials) from issue #3 on. Each story came with a short introduction. In the letters to the editor of issue #3 a writer asks who it is that writes those introductions, to which Palmer says "I do". So it appears that Mahaffey's role is limited to something like a "Managing Editor".
Issues: 16
Notes: The first four issues contain substantial amounts of non-fiction with the non-fiction increasingly predominating the contents after that. The title changes to Search beginning with the October 1956 issue (#17).
