Canadian-American dancer, choreographer, and dance teacher (as Olga Fricker)
Sister-in-law to Hugh Lofting
"Aunt Olga Fricker" to Christopher Lofting
She completed the novel Doctor Dolittle and the Green Canary
(1950), which contains much material published during the 1920s for the Herald Tribune Syndicate; assembled and introduced Doctor Dolittle's Puddleby Adventures
(1952), a collection of whole stories for the same 1920s US newspaper syndicate; and as Olga Michael, selected and arranged Doctor Dolittle: A Treasury
(1967) from Lofting's Dolittle books.
From the Christopher Lofting obituary at Gannon Funeral Home:
"A major shift came with the death of his mother in 1966, while she was visiting New York from LA. With the help of Aunt Olga Fricker, Chris became responsible for the promotion, protection and explanation of the world of Doctor Dolittle
and all his quirky, entertaining animals."
