Note: According to a letter by Larry Niven in Locus #429 (October 1996), the Tor hardcover printed a non-finalized draft of the manuscript. The British edition (as The Dragons of Heorot) printed the final draft and Niven was certain that the forthcoming Tor paperback would do the same.
