Synopsis: From the back cover of the Onyx Books first edition: The nightmare's real - Poor little Steven, puny and shy. Everybody picked on him. His drunken mother. His sluttish sister. Her superstud boyfriend. And all the other jocks and big deals and bullies at school and in the even nastier grown-up world.
Steven could have used a big brother to look out for him. He didn't have one. He didn't even have a friend - until he dreamed up one. A good friend. A real good friend. And if an awful lot of people had to die in a lot of awful ways, well, after all, what are friends for...?
