She almost suffocates before her eccentric hostess finds and releases her. There is, Nicolette soon realizes, a terrifying pattern to the accidents. Her role in the ballet is that of Lorraine, a medium who incurs the wrath of a ghost. The things that happen to Lorraine are ominously like what is happening to Nicolette -- and the ballet ends with Lorraine's death by fire. Is Nicolette doomed to the same fate?
