King, although uncredited. It was first published in 1873 by Sampson Low. • Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea is the Louis Mercier translation (not credited). The stories are 5 of 6 published by Castle Books a few years earlier in two 3-novel collections, The Best of Jules Verne (1978) and Jules Verne: Classic Science Fiction (1981). The translations texts in those two books are unknown.
