Note:
- Name : Presses Pocket - Science Fiction.
- Publisher : Presses Pocket (later shortened to "Pocket").
- Period of activity : 1977 to now.
- Series editors : Jacques Goimard, then Béatrice Lombardo.
- Number of titles in the series : still growing, in excess of 1000.
- Numbering system : numeric from 5000 onwards, then jump to 7000 series, then 17000 series. Note there are a few holes in the numeration that were never filled. At least one freebie is not numbered.
- Dimensions : 17.8 x 11 cm, which stayed the same during the life of the series.
- Length : extremely variable, from less than 200 to 900 pages. Thick volumes are more frequent in later publications, including some reprints in single volumes of books previoulsy published in two or more parts.
- Presentation : globally three periods.
  - The first one was with full color illustration on front cover and a black back cover and black spine with yellow lettering.
  - The second one had only a partial illustration with the beginning of the text printed next to it (blue, mauve or pink lettering on grey and there was usually a full second cover inside).
  - The current period goes back to full color cover, with a grey, then white background for spine and back cover, the only series marker remaining being the mention "SF" on the spine.
- Artists : original covers at first by W. Siudmak and Marcel Laverdet (only for the Livre d'Or sub-series) then diverse artists.
- Reprinting policy : frequent reprints of the bestsellers.
- Origin of texts : at first taken from other French publishers (OPTA mainly) but mostly first French publications.
- Bibliographical data present on the books : AI (often month only, some aberrations) and ISBN generally present. Illustrators are credited. The English titles of the books are generally given.
- Contents : a fair percentage of collections, mostly original ones.
- Other bibliographical data : the books are never priced and the publisher's catalogue is rarely present, which makes the precise printing rank difficult to ascertain.
- Several of these books are also in "Le Livre d'or de la science-fiction", but we cannot currently put books into 2 Publication Series. To see the list of books in that sub-series, see French Wikipédia or nooSFere.
- This Publication series is used indifferently for all titles published in the "genre" publication series regardless of the precise label on the book (it may be Fantasy, Science-Fantasy, Science-Fiction, or any other combination like Dark-Fantasy) as some titles were issued under different labels (e.g. Star Wars passed from Science-Fiction to Science-Fantasy).
- The tps of the "Intégrale" sub-series have also been put into this publication series.
