Note: New York City Founded 1968 Now a "publisher of trade books" and a part of Hachette Book Group (cf. Hachette Books). There are several "Workman" publishers names at ISFDB (search report). Peter Workman founded the company in 1968 upon issuing Yoga 28-Day Exercise Plan. In 1983 Workman acquired Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill, a publisher of literary fiction whose imprint continues. Library of Congress issued LCCN in 1997 citing The Underground CD-ROM handbook for the SAT (1995). Hachette Book Group completed acquisition of Workman in September 2001.
