Note: London, England, publisher of books by and about women 1978 to 2003(?) Co-founded in 1977 "from her home in East London" by Stephanie Dowrick and Naim Attallah (1931–2021), the owner of Quartet Books. The Women's Press succeeded Virago as "partner" to Quartet and issued its first five books in February 1978. In the 1990s(?)
